Role and Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Substitute Teacher, you will support classroom instruction by assisting lead teachers and maintaining a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment. You will adapt to different classroom settings while following lesson plans and school guidelines to support student learning outcomes.

Support classroom instruction by assisting the lead teacher or acting teacher as directed
Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
Follow provided lesson plans and classroom procedures
Assist students with learning activities, assignments, and classroom tasks
Manage classroom behavior using established school policies
Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional periods
Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student needs and classroom activities
Adapt quickly to different school settings and classroom expectations

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and learning needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Classroom management and organizational skills
Dependability, professionalism, and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
Ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures accurately

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a classroom or educational setting
Coursework or training in education, child development, or a related field
Familiarity with classroom technology and digital learning tools
