Company Overview:
The Primrose Schools creates early education environments where toddlers can explore, practice communication, build independence, and develop trust with caring adults. Classrooms are supported with learning resources, routines, and leadership guidance so teachers can focus on developmentally appropriate experiences each day.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you guide young children through a high-energy stage of language growth, movement, discovery, and early independence. This role requires a calm leader who can balance nurturing care with predictable routines, hands-on learning, and positive behavior guidance. You will create a classroom where toddlers feel secure enough to explore and supported enough to practice emerging social skills.
- Lead daily toddler routines including arrival, group time, meals, rest, transitions, outdoor play, and dismissal.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that build language, motor coordination, curiosity, and early problem-solving.
- Model gentle behavior guidance by helping toddlers name emotions, share space, follow simple directions, and recover from frustration.
- Observe developmental progress and adjust classroom experiences to support different temperaments, communication styles, and readiness levels.
- Maintain an organized classroom with safe materials, clean learning areas, and inviting activity centers.
- Partner with families through clear updates about routines, milestones, classroom participation, and social development.
- Guide assistant teachers by modeling expectations, delegating tasks, and keeping the classroom consistent throughout the day.
