Summary
The Instructional Coach is responsible for working with teachers to improve instructional practices, support student learning, and foster a positive educational environment. The coach provides individualized coaching, professional development, and instructional resources to improve teacher strategies and student achievement. The coach serves as a mentor, advisor, and collaborator, focusing on the development and implementation of effective teaching strategies, assessment practices, and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of current research and best practices in education, including differentiated instruction, formative assessment, and educational technology. Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of educators. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze and interpret student data to inform instructional decisions. A commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
Abilities: Ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks. Ability to plan, organize, and collaborate with others. Utilize computer software programs and hardware pertinent to area. Work both independently and as a team. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Will involve traveling between multiple district buildings. Must be available for periodic meetings or trainings during the summer months, compensated in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Valid Pennsylvania drivers license required.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (Master's degree preferred). Teaching certification and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a classroom teacher. Experience in providing professional development and coaching or mentoring teachers is preferred.
