Lead Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Lead Teacher, you will directly support children’s education, mentor staff, and foster a safe, nurturing learning environment while collaborating with families, staff, and community partners to ensure each child reaches their highest potential.

• Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in the classroom while modeling best practices and providing feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum tailored to the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for play and learning.
• Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Support center goals in enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Outstanding customer service, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2-3 years of early childhood education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain them.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors.
• Physically able to interact with children at low levels and engage in physical activity.
• Proficient in English for communication with children and parents.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly range: $19.38 – $24.84.
• Minnesota locations receive an additional $3.00/hour classroom premium through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
