Toddler Support Teacher

As an Toddler Support Teacher, you contribute to early childhood education by helping establish a safe, engaging, and supportive learning space that promotes children’s emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Role and Responsibilities:

In the Toddler Support Teacher position, you will work alongside lead educators to implement developmentally appropriate learning activities and maintain a structured, caring classroom environment. You will actively support children’s safety, participation, and developmental progress throughout daily learning routines and guided activities.

• Assist in delivering age-appropriate lesson plans and structured learning activities.
• Organize, prepare, and maintain classroom teaching resources and instructional materials for daily use.
• Supervise and support children during meals, rest periods, and all planned learning and play sessions.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for every child at all times.
• Encourage hands-on, play-based, and interactive learning experiences that support early development.
• Monitor, record, and evaluate children’s developmental progress and key milestones.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and cooperative classroom environment among children and staff members.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED certification).
• Prior experience in early childhood education within a licensed childcare or early learning center.
• Practical experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children in a classroom environment.
• Basic ability to use digital tools such as laptops, tablets, or similar classroom technology.
• Strong patience, nurturing attitude, and genuine passion for supporting early childhood development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Child Development Associate (CDA) certification or Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification.
• Experience in customer service, healthcare, or retail environments as an added advantage.
• Interest in pursuing a long-term career in early childhood education, with access to potential training support programs.

• Hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $19.00, based on experience and qualifications.
