Responsibilities

Ensure the efficient operation of school cafeterias, including supervision of staff, ordering of foods and supplies, and oversight of food planning, preparation, and service. Manage point?of?sale terminal operations and financial reporting. Provide food services for one or more satellite sites or cluster schools as required, ensuring compliance with District, Board, State, and Federal regulations.

Trainee Qualifications

Education : High School diploma or GED.
Experience : Two (2) years of institutional food service experience and experience in supervision. Must obtain ServSafe certification or complete the Tennessee Department of Education Food Safety and Schools Certificate Program within one year. Upon successful completion of one year and ServSafe certification, the trainee may be promoted to Supervisor School Nutrition. Proof of education, training, and/or experience is required.

Degree Equivalency

• Bachelors Degree = 4 years + required experience.
• Masters Degree = 2 years + required experience; credit for Bachelors years must also be included when a Masters is required.
