Job Title: Field Service Executive Coach
FLSA Status:Exempt

Reports To: Director of Administrative Services
Primary Purpose
To connect service and information with district leadership in areas of board and school operations, while establishing an effective communication link among school districts/charters, and ESC Region 11. To organize and supervise the operation of Field Service Agent support across the region. The Field Service Executive Coach is responsible for working collaboratively to coach and support ESC Region 11 staff, regional district superintendent/leadership and board executives.

Education/Certification
Bachelor's Degree, required
Master’s Degree, required
Superintendent Certification, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
Team-oriented attitude and desire to work collaboratively with ESC staff, and campus/district/charter school personnel.
Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and word processing.
Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data.
Ability to align programs to support high achievement for all students.
Ability to travel extensively and interface with multiple central office and campus personnel.
Experience in the development and management of organizational and/or departmental budgets.
Knowledge of technology and appropriate technological applications.
Extensive knowledge of the state/federal accountability systems, federal programs, special education, curriculum, instruction, and leadership as assigned position requires.
Knowledge of and familiarity with the Texas Education Code, Texas Administrative Code, board policy structure and development, and other state and federal statutes and regulations that impact Texas public schools.
Experience
Three years of executive-level experience (Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or executive-level central office leadership experience).
Demonstrated successful experience in training adult learners.
Specialized training or experience in federal programs, school finance, communications, campus/district planning, curriculum, instruction, district effectiveness and compliance, and accountability preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

**This position may be partially or completely funded using grant and/or federal monies and is assigned programs to include activities designed to enhance the effective and coordinated use of funds.
Design and annually implement the First-Year Superintendents' Academy. Monthly Sessions will include topics that align with the superintendents' calendar deadlines and duties.
Establish consistent communication with new superintendents' requirements such as required training hours and attendance during their first year as superintendent.
Maintain a record of superintendent training hours and ensure successful completion of the hours, program goals, reports, and other required documents.
Manage the transcript process and certify candidates for Texas SBEC.
Explain and review the Superintendents' Monthly Calendar publication and other designated communications.
Provide connections to support superintendents and their leadership, based upon their stated needs and data.
Supervise field service agents and coordinate with the Director of Administrative Services on district needs and plans at each LEA.
Attend and build relationships with leaders at events such as the Annual ESC Region 11 Superintendents' Fall Conference and other events designated by the Executive Director.
Work closely with the Director of Administrative Services and communications team to ensure the annual superintendents' calendar is completed and distributed.
Support and implement School Board Training as requested
Work in the field as a trainer for superintendents and their boards of trustees
Support and organize regional board training sessions with the field service team (Red River Collaborative and Brazos River Collaborative)
Maintain current certifications for board trainings such as EISO, OTEC, etc
Support Superintendents by developing an executive/superintendent coaching program for board relations and governance
Be conversant in the strengths, needs, and unique characteristics of each of the districts/charters assigned, and link with ESC 11 services appropriately.
Actively participate in inter-departmental teams to help improve student performance in the region, improve the ESC's internal operations, and meet the established goals and objectives of the ESC.
Is responsive as the first point of contact for all stakeholders within the education community, with a particular focus on newly appointed superintendents.
Technical assistance to LEA personnel in all components of educational programs and services related to specific assignments.
Assist in identifying emerging needs in LEAs and establish a communication system for sharing information with ESC Region 11 staff.
Provide timely and accurate responses to questions from LEA personnel regarding options available for supporting the operations of the LEAs.
Provide accurate, up-to-date information to district personnel regarding developments, initiatives, and priorities at the ESC and state levels.
Assist and support district leadership in identifying district needs and providing information concerning ESC services and personnel that could assist in responding to those needs.
Aid LEA’s executive leadership in identifying resources, products, and services available from ESC Region 11, the Texas Education Agency, and other sources to support efforts to improve student achievement.
Analyze and communicate actions of the State Board of Education, State Legislature, and the Texas Education Agency to define specific implications for LEAs.
Serve as liaison interface to obtain information from the ESC and state level to clarify and/or address questions arising at the local level.
Facilitate and provide training sessions on various topics, including School Board Member Training, district planning, finance templates, budgeting assistance, and the New Superintendents' Academy, as well as train part-time retired superintendents as board trainers in collaboration with the Director of Administrative Services.
Develop and implement individualized coaching plans for executives and superintendents, focusing on strategic planning, performance management, change management, board relations, and governance to support senior leaders.
Ability to strategically plan at an organizational level and support prioritization.
Supervisory Duties
Supervise, support, and evaluate programs, consultants, and support staff.

Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with the adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11. Employment in this position is contingent upon performance, need, and funding.
