Lead Educator

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Lead Educator, you will guide children’s learning and development while supporting classroom team members and building a caring, inclusive classroom environment. You will partner with families, coworkers, and community groups to ensure each child receives the highest level of support.

• Train and support classroom staff by demonstrating effective teaching practices and offering helpful coaching.
• Follow KinderCare’s curriculum and tailor activities to match the unique needs of each child.
• Provide a positive, safe, and engaging classroom setting.
• Collaborate with families to deliver excellent educational and care experiences.
• Assist with center goals related to enrollment, accreditation requirements, and community involvement.
• Develop strong, positive relationships with coworkers, families, licensing agencies, community partners, and corporate teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Excellent customer service abilities with strong organization and multitasking skills.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or qualifications aligned with NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer credentials (preferred).
• 2–3 years of early childhood education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meets state qualification requirements or willing to complete required steps.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to complete necessary courses.
• Capable of lifting a minimum of 40 pounds and participating in both indoor and outdoor activities.
• Physically able to work at children’s level and participate in hands-on, active play.
• Strong verbal and written English skills for clear communication with families and children.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly wage range: $19.38 – $24.84.
• Minnesota team members receive an additional $3.00 per hour classroom premium through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
