Daycare Lead Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Daycare Lead Teacher, you will lead classroom instruction and create a welcoming environment where children can learn, explore, and grow. You will develop engaging lesson plans, implement age-appropriate educational activities, supervise daily classroom operations, mentor assistant teachers, monitor developmental progress, and encourage positive behavior. The role also includes maintaining a safe and organized classroom, ensuring compliance with childcare licensing standards, communicating regularly with families about children's development, and promoting a nurturing atmosphere that supports every child's individual learning journey.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience working in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans and educational activities.
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with children, families, and colleagues.
• Knowledge of childcare safety practices and licensing regulations.
• Ability to lead a classroom while fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Passion for supporting children's educational and developmental growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent certification.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience in a childcare environment.
• Experience implementing early childhood curriculum and developmental assessments.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and educational excellence.
