Role and Responsibilities:

As a Support Services Teacher, your role will primarily involve providing individualized support and instruction to students with a variety of learning needs. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and working alongside other educators and families to support each student’s growth and success.

Provide personalized instruction and assistance based on each student's IEP
Develop and deliver lesson plans tailored to the unique requirements of each student
Track and document progress toward IEP goals and objectives
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student achievement
Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress reviews
Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes self-confidence and independence

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement
Experience working with students who have mild to moderate disabilities is preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with co-teaching or collaborative teaching approaches
Familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies for diverse learners
Proven experience in IEP development, tracking, and management tools

Compensation and Benefits:

$50.00 per hour for full-time employment for the 2025-2026 school year
