We are seeking a faith-filled, passionate Campus Minister and Theology Teacher to guide the spiritual life of our Grades 7–12 students while teaching theology courses, with an emphasis on Scripture. This individual will play a vital role in supporting Campus Ministry initiatives, helping to foster a vibrant faith community rooted in Catholic values and service.
Key Responsibilities
Campus Ministry Support
- Work closely with and take direction from the Director of Campus Ministry to implement programs that reflect Lowell Catholic’s mission and core values.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of liturgies, prayer services, retreats, and service projects.
- Support the development of student leadership opportunities within Campus Ministry, encouraging students to take active roles in faith-based activities.
- Help organize and participate in service-learning and outreach opportunities that promote empathy, compassion, and social responsibility.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to promote Catholic identity throughout the school community.
- Helping to plan and promote events that celebrate our XBSS (Xaverian Brothers Sponsored Schools) identity and core values.
Theology Instruction
- Teach a small number of Theology courses, with a focus on Scripture and faith in daily life.
- Design engaging, student-centered lessons that promote reflection, understanding, and real-world application of Catholic teachings.
- Integrate themes of faith, service, and leadership into classroom instruction.
- Collaborate with the Theology Department to ensure consistent and cohesive faith formation experiences for all students.
Qualifications
- Practicing Catholic with a strong commitment to living and teaching the faith.
- Experience in campus ministry, youth ministry, or theology education.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships, inspire students, and foster a joyful faith community.
