Role and Responsibilities:

As a Childcare Teacher at Primrose Schools, you will guide young minds through discovery and exploration while fostering a lifelong love of learning. You will implement age-appropriate lesson plans, maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment, and build genuine relationships with children and families. This role requires passion, creativity, and a commitment to nurturing each child’s individual development.

Supervise and manage daily class functions for a group of children.
Implement the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum to support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
Observe, assess, and document each child’s developmental progress.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Participate in professional development and school events as required.

Required Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of early childhood education and the developmental needs of young children.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow established curriculum and classroom procedures.
Must meet local child care regulatory agency requirements.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., as needed for child handling and safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program.
Early childhood education degree or related field (Associate’s or Bachelor’s, depending on age group).
Familiarity with classroom management and age-appropriate instructional strategies.
Passion for fostering creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning in children.
Experience working with diverse groups of children and families.

Compensation: $17.00 – $22.00 per hour
