Role and Responsibilities:

As a Teacher at Primrose School, you will plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children. You will maintain a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment while following the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum.

• Supervise and manage a classroom of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Implement lesson plans and daily schedules in accordance with the Balanced Learning® curriculum.
• Assess each child’s developmental needs and progress, and communicate insights with families.
• Plan and conduct parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations in coordination with leadership.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
• Encourage positive behavior with verbal recognition and consistent expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and leadership to support children’s growth.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director or leadership team.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Knowledge of early childhood development and the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and safely handle children, including infants and toddlers when applicable.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in early childhood education or teaching preferred.
• Ability to implement structured curriculum and follow classroom routines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Infant – Preschool Teachers: 2-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Pre-Kindergarten Teachers: 4-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• Kindergarten Teachers: 4-year degree in Early Childhood Education and state teaching certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Passion for fostering children’s growth and development in a collaborative environment.
