Lead Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and leading a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom where children can thrive. This role involves planning and delivering educational lessons that promote curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and social development while supporting each child's individual learning journey. The Lead Teacher supervises daily classroom activities, maintains a safe and organized environment, mentors assistant teachers, and implements curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards. Additional responsibilities include monitoring developmental progress, maintaining accurate classroom records, encouraging positive behavior, communicating regularly with families regarding children's achievements and needs, and ensuring compliance with all licensing requirements, health regulations, and company policies. The Lead Teacher also fosters teamwork among staff while creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire children to learn through exploration and play.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Passion for early childhood education and child development.
• Experience teaching or leading classrooms in an early learning environment.
• Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching strategies and child development practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Professional teaching experience in preschool or early childhood education.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent certification.
• Experience supervising or mentoring teaching staff.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
