Senior Early Learning Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Senior Early Learning Teacher, you will guide young learners while mentoring classroom staff and creating a welcoming, inclusive classroom setting. You will collaborate with families, coworkers, and community partners to ensure each child receives strong educational and emotional support.

• Coach and mentor classroom team members by demonstrating effective teaching strategies and giving constructive guidance.
• Use KinderCare’s curriculum and adapt classroom activities to meet the learning needs of each child.
• Maintain a warm, engaging, and safe classroom environment.
• Work closely with families to deliver exceptional care and education.
• Support center goals including enrollment, accreditation requirements, and community engagement activities.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, team members, licensing agencies, community partners, and corporate staff.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks.
• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or qualifications that meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer status (preferred).
• 2–3 years of early childhood education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meets state qualification requirements or willing to complete required steps.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to complete required training.
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds and participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Physically able to engage in active play and interact with children at their level.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills for interacting with families and children.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay range: $19.38 – $24.84.
• Minnesota employees receive an additional $3.00 per hour classroom premium through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
