Psychology High School Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

The Psychology High School Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in psychology to high school students. The teacher will create an engaging, student-centered learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and intellectual growth. In this role, you will:

• Design and deliver engaging psychology lessons in line with the curriculum and educational standards.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to ensure academic growth.
• Foster a classroom environment where students feel respected, valued, and encouraged to participate.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary projects and support students' holistic development.
• Participate in school-wide professional development and team meetings to continuously improve teaching strategies.
• Support students’ social-emotional learning and overall well-being.
• Maintain consistent communication with students, families, and school leadership regarding academic progress and classroom needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field (Master's preferred).
• State certification in secondary education or the ability to obtain certification.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Passion for teaching and working with diverse student populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching psychology or social sciences at the high school level.
• Experience with project-based learning and integrating technology into instruction.
• Ability to design and implement engaging extracurricular activities related to psychology.
• Experience in working with students with diverse needs, including special education students.
