Part-Time Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

You will support and guide young children in a positive classroom environment while implementing engaging lesson plans and fostering early learning development. You will collaborate with other educators to ensure a safe, inclusive, and structured learning space.

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lesson activities aligned with early childhood education standards
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through structured play and learning
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and developmentally appropriate strategies
• Observe and document student progress and communicate updates with families and caregivers
• Collaborate with teaching staff to implement curriculum and classroom goals
• Ensure compliance with childcare safety guidelines and center policies

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Experience in childcare, preschool teaching, or early childhood learning environments preferred
• Understanding of child development principles and early learning frameworks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and team members
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans and manage classroom activities effectively
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development Associate (CDA)
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Prior experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Knowledge of play-based learning methodologies and curriculum implementation
