Role and Responsibilities:

As a Classroom Lead Teacher, you will play an essential role in supporting children’s development while guiding classroom staff and cultivating a warm, secure learning environment. You will collaborate with families, teammates, and community partners to help every child succeed.

Coach and mentor classroom staff by modeling effective teaching strategies and providing constructive feedback.
Implement KinderCare’s curriculum and adapt instruction to meet each child’s individual learning needs.
Maintain a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom space.
Work with families to ensure exceptional educational and care experiences.
Support center goals, including enrollment, accreditation standards, and community initiatives.
Build strong relationships with families, coworkers, licensing partners, community organizations, and corporate teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

Strong customer service skills with the ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks.
Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or qualifications aligned with NAEYC candidacy standards.
Approved state trainer status (preferred).
2–3 years of prior early childhood education experience (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
Meets state qualification requirements or willing to complete them.
CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to complete required courses.
Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
Physically able to engage with children at their level and take part in active play.
Proficient verbal and written English communication to interact effectively with children and families.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly pay range: $19.38 – $24.84.
Minnesota locations receive an additional $3.00 per hour classroom premium through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
