Substitute Teacher

Role and Responsibilities:

You will provide classroom coverage and deliver instructional support by following lesson plans and maintaining a productive learning environment. This role requires adaptability, classroom management, and effective communication to support student success.

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, structured learning environment
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and breaks
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Communicate clearly with students, staff, and administration
• Ensure classroom safety and follow school policies and procedures
• Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding student progress and classroom activities

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant education or teaching experience preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to follow lesson plans and adapt to different teaching environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic proficiency with classroom technology and educational tools
• Ability to work with students of varying ages and learning levels

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a teaching or childcare role
• Familiarity with early childhood or K-12 education environments
• Relevant certifications or training in education or child development
• Experience supporting diverse learning needs
