Role and Responsibilities:

You will promote student health, safety, and wellness by providing direct nursing care and managing medical needs within a school setting. This role focuses on delivering healthcare services, ensuring compliance with school health regulations, and collaborating with families and staff to support student success.

Provide direct care, first aid, and emergency medical response for students.
Manage medication administration, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate with physicians.
Develop and monitor individualized health plans for students with medical needs.
Educate staff and families on health procedures, safety practices, and infection control.
Collaborate with school teams to promote health, wellness, and safety standards.

Required Skills and Experience:

Current Pennsylvania Certified School Nurse certification.
Experience providing nursing services to children.
Knowledge of medical conditions, treatments, and school health regulations.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective during medical or behavioral emergencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with students with autism or emotional and behavioral challenges.
Familiarity with individualized health plans and collaborative school environments.
