Role and Responsibilities:

As an Substitute Instructional Aide, you will support day-to-day classroom instruction while helping foster a safe, engaging, and well-organized learning environment. You will adapt to a variety of classroom settings, follow assigned lesson plans, and comply with school guidelines to support consistent and effective student learning.

Assist with classroom instruction under the direction of the lead teacher or acting teacher.
Promote a positive, secure, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Implement provided lesson plans, routines, and classroom procedures.
Support students with academic activities, assignments, and daily classroom tasks.
Apply classroom behavior management strategies in line with school policies.
Monitor and supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times.
Communicate professionally with school staff regarding classroom activities and student needs.
Adjust quickly to varying school environments and classroom expectations.

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to effectively support students of different ages and learning needs.
Clear verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and classroom management abilities.
Reliability, professionalism, and adaptability in active classroom settings.
Ability to follow lesson plans and school guidelines with accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working in a classroom or educational setting.
Coursework or training in education, child development, or a related area.
