Role and Responsibilities:

As a Lead Teacher, you will directly support children’s education, mentor staff, and foster a safe, nurturing learning environment while collaborating with families, staff, and community partners to ensure each child reaches their highest potential.

Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in the classroom while modeling best practices and providing feedback.
Implement KinderCare's curriculum tailored to the unique needs of each child.
Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for play and learning.
Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
Support center goals in enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
Build and maintain positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.

Required Skills and Experience:

Outstanding customer service, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
Approved state trainer (preferred).
2-3 years of early childhood education experience (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain them.
CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
Ability to use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors.
Physically able to interact with children at low levels and engage in physical activity.
Proficient in English for communication with children and parents.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly range: $19.38 – $24.84.
Minnesota locations receive an additional $3.00/hour classroom premium through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
