Role and Responsibilities:

In the role of Assistant Educator, you will contribute to a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment for young learners. Working closely with lead teachers and center staff, you will support curriculum delivery, help meet individual learning goals, and foster positive relationships with families. This position provides the chance to encourage curiosity, promote emotional development, and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

• Support lead teachers in implementing KinderCare’s developmentally appropriate curriculum that emphasizes creativity, exploration, and social-emotional growth.
• Supervise and engage with children to ensure safety and well-being while complying with health and licensing standards.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with children and communicate effectively with families and colleagues.
• Encourage hands-on learning that develops problem-solving, independence, and confidence.
• Collaborate with the classroom team and center leadership to maintain smooth routines and foster a positive team environment.
• Assist in preparing materials, organizing learning spaces, and keeping the classroom clean, safe, and welcoming.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities to support ongoing growth and career advancement.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meets state requirements for early childhood education roles or willing to complete necessary qualifications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow guidance from lead teachers and center leadership.
• Passion for supporting the growth and development of young children.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• CDA credential or relevant early childhood coursework preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or interest in obtaining certification with employer support.
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
