Role and Responsibilities:

As an Literacy and Math Tutor, your key responsibility will be to strengthen students' academic performance while supporting their personal growth. This role involves providing classroom assistance, individualized tutoring, and mentorship to ensure positive and measurable educational outcomes for each student.

Offer one-on-one and small group tutoring in core academic subjects, such as math, reading, and science.
Exemplify positive behavior and demonstrate key social-emotional skills to foster student development.
Establish trusting relationships with students to enhance both their academic performance and personal growth.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify student needs, track their progress, and implement targeted support strategies.
Design and execute strategies to increase student engagement and academic achievement.
Monitor student progress using data and apply this information to guide instructional planning.

Required Skills and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience in working with youth in educational or mentorship roles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with students.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver targeted academic support.
A commitment to fostering student growth and advancing educational equity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in tutoring or mentoring within an academic setting.
Familiarity with strategies for supporting diverse learning needs and promoting social-emotional development.
Experience using data-driven methods to track student progress and inform teaching strategies.
