Teaching Support Assistant

Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will assist with daily classroom operations by supporting instruction and contributing to a safe, organized, and supportive learning environment. You will work across a variety of classroom settings, follow prepared lesson plans, and adhere to school guidelines to ensure a consistent and productive educational experience.

• Assist with classroom instruction under the direction of the lead or substitute teacher.
• Help create and maintain a respectful, inclusive, and secure classroom setting.
• Carry out assigned lesson plans, routines, and classroom procedures as provided.
• Support students with assignments, coursework, and general classroom responsibilities.
• Implement behavior management practices in alignment with school policies.
• Supervise students during instructional periods and non-instructional school activities.
• Maintain professional communication with school staff regarding classroom activities and student needs.
• Adjust quickly to varying classroom expectations and school environments.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with students of different ages, abilities, and learning styles.
• Clear verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills and the ability to support effective classroom management.
• Reliability, professionalism, and adaptability in dynamic educational settings.
• Ability to follow lesson plans accurately and comply with school policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a classroom or educational support environment.
• Relevant coursework or training in education, child development, or a related field.
• Familiarity with classroom technology and digital learning tools.
