Title: Special Education Teaching Assistant (1.0 FTE)

Position Summary:

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide academic support for students with disabilities as outlined in the IEP document.

Duties and Responsibilities(Not limited to):

The teaching assistant’s role is to support students in the general education classroom. On a daily basis the teaching assistant will be:

*Re-teaching academic skills

*Assisting students with the completion of assignments, quizzes, and tests

*Providing support in the general education curriculum

*Reporting to the Special Education Liaison assigned to the student(s)

Qualifications:

*Minimum of an associate's degree, bachelor’s degree preferred

*Excellent communication skills

*Strong organizational skills

*Capacity to work as a member of a team

*Applicant must be a self-starter and flexible

*Must be the kind of person who is warm, caring, respectful, and has a strong desire to work with students, as well as a willingness to learn

Experience Preferable:

*Experience working with high school students with mild to moderate emotional issues

*Familiarity with high school curriculum and content areas

Salary Range:

*$27.53/hour - $36.75/hour
