Role and Responsibilities:

As a Support Teacher, you will assist lead educators in delivering engaging classroom instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting student development, classroom management, and daily educational activities while ensuring a safe and structured space for children to thrive.

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning activities
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and engagement
• Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and transitions
• Help prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
• Observe and report student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for all learners

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in early childhood education preferred
• Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow lesson plans and support instructional goals
• Basic understanding of child development principles
• Patience, empathy, and a positive, child-focused attitude
• Ability to maintain safety and supervision standards at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Early childhood teaching certification or CDA (Child Development Associate) credential
• Prior experience in preschool, daycare, or elementary education settings
• Familiarity with classroom management strategies and early learning frameworks
