Role and Responsibilities:

As a Daycare Assistant Teacher, you will support the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. You will assist with lesson implementation, supervise children during activities, and help maintain a clean and organized classroom.

Support the lead teacher in executing age-appropriate lesson plans.
Assist in creating a nurturing, stimulating, and safe classroom environment.
Supervise children during activities, meals, and outdoor play.
Help maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
Encourage children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth through guided activities.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive classroom community.
Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children.
Physical ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. and engage in classroom activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent early childhood education certification.
Previous experience working in a daycare or preschool setting.
Knowledge of child development principles and classroom management strategies.
Familiarity with digital or structured early learning curricula.
Bilingual abilities are a plus.
