Role and Responsibilities:

As a Learning Support Teacher, you will plan and provide individualized instruction that encourages both academic success and social-emotional growth. You will contribute to maintaining a structured and engaging classroom while partnering with a multidisciplinary team to support each student’s ongoing development.

Create and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on each student’s specific goals and needs
Prepare and deliver lessons using a variety of teaching strategies to keep students actively engaged
Maintain a structured classroom environment that supports safety, consistency, and positive behavior
Track student performance and complete all required documentation and progress reports
Provide guidance and support to classroom staff to ensure student plans are implemented consistently

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree along with a valid Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification
At least three months of experience working with individuals with disabilities
Knowledge of child development, differentiated instruction, and behavior management strategies
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead classroom activities and collaborate effectively within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting students with autism or emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges
Familiarity with therapeutic approaches used in educational settings
Additional certifications or training related to behavior intervention or social-emotional development
