Provide formal consultation, supportive assistance, and professional development that promote effective rigorous and relevant classroom instruction. Analyze and interpret student data and provide interventions based on that data through Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). Ensure that the instructional reading levels of students are accurately determined and work closely with teachers to promote appropriate grouping of students based on instructional reading levels for small group instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification:

Must have a Elementary Certification and Reading Specialist K-12 Certification.

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Skills in relationship building educational leadership, conflict resolution, creativity, problem solving and decision-making. Knowledge of assessing students, curriculum, flexible pacing, flexible instruction, and strategic interventions. Knowledge of effectively solving problems through a positive collaborative approach. Knowledge of the instruction of students with varied learning styles and levels of mastery. Strong organizational skills.

Abilities:

Assist and share responsibility with Principal, General Education Teachers, specialists, and support personnel to design, assist in implementation of Response to Instruction and Intervention. Provide instruction to students using research based instructional programs and strategies.

Pay Rate: $58,639 - $92,815 (based on highest earned degree and years of experience)
