Role and Responsibilities:

As a Senior Preschool Teacher, you will support children’s growth, guide staff development, and maintain a safe, encouraging classroom atmosphere. You will work alongside families, colleagues, and community partners to help each child reach their highest potential.

Coach and mentor less experienced teachers by modeling best practices and offering meaningful feedback.
Implement KinderCare’s curriculum to meet each child’s individual learning needs.
Create and maintain a safe, caring, and engaging environment for play and learning.
Partner with families to deliver high-quality care and education.
Support center goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
Build positive relationships with families, coworkers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.

Required Skills and Experience:

Strong customer service and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
An active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or qualifications that meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
Approved state trainer (preferred).
2–3 years of experience in early childhood education (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
Meets state-specific requirements or is willing to obtain them.
CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to complete certification.
Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
Physically capable of interacting with children at their level and participating in active play.
Proficient in English for communication with children and families.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly rate: $19.38 – $24.84.
Eligible Minnesota sites receive an additional $3.00 per hour classroom premium through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
