Supply Teacher

Company Overview:

Copilot Careers is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Teachers to join a dynamic team. As a Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for stepping in for regular classroom teachers during their absence, ensuring continuity of teaching and maintaining a positive learning environment for students. You will be expected to deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behavior, and foster student engagement.

Role and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will implement prepared lessons and support classrooms to ensure students continue learning effectively. You will maintain classroom standards, provide feedback, and promote a positive educational experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Implement lesson plans left by the absent teacher to ensure continuity of the curriculum.
• Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment and manage student behavior in line with school policies.
• Encourage participation, facilitate learning, and create an engaging classroom atmosphere, even for short-term assignments.
• Grade assignments, mark exams, and provide feedback to students as necessary.
• Provide detailed reports on student performance, behavior, and relevant observations to the regular teacher.
• Work with students who may have special educational needs and provide the necessary support for their learning.
• Follow school policies and protocols regarding health, safety, and student well-being.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different learning environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and staff.
• Flexible and adaptable to different subjects, age groups, and teaching styles.
• A background check will be required.
• Ability to work on short notice, covering various schools and grade levels as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching certification is preferred.
• Prior experience as a teacher, teaching assistant, or in a similar educational role is highly desirable.
• Other specific requirements like first aid certification, if applicable.
